Project

You will be involved in an enterprise IT infrastructure automation project focused on testing and validating automated workflows built on VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO) and VMware Aria Automation Service Broker. The goal is to ensure the correctness, stability, and reliability of automation solutions used across a large-scale, hybrid IT environment.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

Execute full-cycle testing of vRO workflows, including functionality, logic, and error handling

Test automation processes delivered through VMware vRA Service Broker

Verify correct execution and outcomes of service requests submitted via Service Broker

Analyse vRO runs, diagnose issues, and prepare detailed defect reports

Create and maintain test documentation: test cases, checklists, and test plans

Test REST API integrations with external services

Collaborate with automation engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to resolve identified issues

 

Expected competences and knowledge

Strong hands-on experience with VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO): workflows, actions, and inventory/items

Ability to read and analyse JavaScript used inside vRO workflows; able to make minor modifications when required

Experience testing workflow logic (conditions, error handlers, input/output parameters) and navigating complex workflow chains

Experience with VMware vRA Service Broker: catalog items, request execution, outcome validation, and troubleshooting

Solid functional testing experience and ability to create structured defect reports and test documentation

Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and tools such as Postman or curl

Working experience with Jira and Confluence; basic Git and CI/CD understanding

Linux user-level skills for log review and basic diagnostics

PowerShell skills sufficient to read and understand external script code
