QA Engineer

I'm looking for a solid, entry level QA engineer to join an EdTech scale up who recently raised $4M in expansion capital. This is a full-time, permanent role working from home, with plenty of learning and development opportunities.


They have built a centralised, digital hub that is used by students, professors, alumni and staff to access over 100 different backend systems through one interface. Because this is used by universities and colleges, the team focuses heavily on security, accessibility, and making sure the mobile and desktop versions work seamlessly for users.


The Role

• Design and run test plans to catch and fix bugs.


• Work with the devs to set up testing strategies.


• Build automated tests to speed processes up.


• Write up test results and give clear feedback to the team.


• Find ways to make the testing process better.

What you need

• A handle on both manual and automated testing.


• Experience working in Agile teams.


• Strong troubleshooting skills. Finding the root cause, not just the symptom.


• Good communication; you can explain a technical issue without it getting lost in translation.
