Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 4 remote days per week)
As a Senior API Tester – Automation & Backend Services, you will be working for our client, a leader in innovative technology solutions. This pivotal role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of backend services through advanced API testing. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering cutting-edge software that shapes the future of digital interactions and innovations.
Your main responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain automated REST API tests to optimize testing workflows
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and testers to improve backend testing processes
Develop and enhance testing frameworks using Java and tools like Rest Assured
Write complex SQL queries for data validation and integrity checks
Integrate testing solutions with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitLab CI
Document test cases and results utilizing Jira, TestFLO, and Confluence
Execute and analyze integration tests to identify and resolve issues
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and tools
You're ideal for this role if you have:
Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation, specifically with backend/API testing
Strong proficiency in Java, including framework development and maintenance
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Rest Assured or similar tools
Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation
Practical experience with GIT version control
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI
Experience with Jira, TestFLO, and Confluence for test management
Familiarity with Maven or Gradle for project automation
Proven ability to develop and execute robust integration tests
It is a strong plus if you have:
Experience developing performance testing scripts with Gatling (Java)
Knowledge of load, stress, and endurance testing techniques
Understanding of microservices architecture
Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API mocking tools
Language Required for the role:
Good command of Polish (spoken and written)
