Junior Software Tester - £25,000 - £30,000
We're working with a dynamic digital innovator transforming the customer experience sector on this exciting opportunity. This is your chance to join an ambitious QA team where you will gain hands-on experience with mobile app testing and API validation while working within a high-growth Agile environment.
The Role
- Tackle end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications across both Android and iOS platforms to ensure a flawless user journey.
- Get hands-on with RESTful APIs using Postman to validate data integrity and backend performance.
- Take ownership of the defect lifecycle by identifying, logging, and tracking software bugs through to resolution using Jira.
- Collaborate directly with Developers and Product Owners to define Acceptance Criteria and participate in active Scrum ceremonies.
- Contribute to the evolution of the QA function by drafting clear manual test cases and supporting regression testing phases.
What You'll Need
- Proven foundational knowledge of Software Testing gained through a placement, internship, commercial role, or relevant technical coursework.
- Practical exposure to testing mobile applications on Android or iOS devices and an understanding of web technologies.
- Familiarity with API testing concepts and a huge desire to master tools like Postman.
- A sharp eye for detail and the problem-solving mindset required to break software and find edge cases.
- An understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and a genuine interest in eventually progressing into Test Automation.
