About the position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a minimum of five years of professional expertise to join our team for a project with a vital insurance industry client. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the final product meets the client's specified quality standards and requirements. You will be expected to identify and report any bugs or glitches in a timely and effective manner. This role requires an individual with a strong attention to detail and exceptional communication abilities. Depending on your experience, you will also have the opportunity to introduce new testing tools, and contribute to the definition and improvement of our testing strategies, including but not limited to OWASP and ISO/IEC 27034..

Key responsibilities

Reviewing and analyzing system specifications

Preparation of test strategies and detailed test plans

Development of test scripts and manual test scenarios

Executing automated and manual tests, and reviewing results

Evaluate product according to specifications

Report and document technical issues

Report bugs and errors to development teams

Help troubleshoot issues

Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Support the process of Production deployments, from release preparations to post-deployment verification

Competencies

Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer

Experience in QA methodology

Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

Tools: Postman, Cypress (experience with additional languages is considered an asset)

Hands on experience with Jira and Confluence 

Analytical skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Сritical thinking

Patience and perceptiveness

Independence and drive to grow and learn

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Experience in software development will be considered as an additional asset

Excellent verbal communication skills are a must

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a must

Fluency in English is a must
