Autodesk is looking for a Quality Assurance Developer to join our team developing applications for construction users in the field across web, iOS, and Android platforms. This role sits within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) division, where the team defines and builds the software that construction field users rely on every day.

As a member of this team, you will have a significant impact on how we design, validate, and deliver products across web and mobile platforms. This role is primarily focused on hands-on manual QA, including end-to-end testing, exploratory testing, and validation of complex workflows across web and mobile experiences. Experience with test automation is highly valued and considered a strong bonus, particularly for extending coverage and improving efficiency over time.You will be responsible for ensuring high product quality through thoughtful test planning, execution, and collaboration with development teams, while contributing to automation efforts where appropriate.

Responsibilities 

Perform thorough manual testing of complex applications across web, iOS, and Android, including exploratory, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing

Design, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases for ongoing feature development 

Discover, clearly document, and track bugs in complex workflows with a strong focus on user impact and reproducibility 

Reproduce issues discovered by users and communicate findings and priorities clearly to the Development team 

Work closely with developers and product partners to create acceptance criteria and validate new features 

Participate in short sprint cycles (2 weeks) and contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment 

Investigate test failures (manual or automated) and report issues in the bug tracking system as appropriate 

Contribute to automated functional and visual tests where applicable, expanding coverage over time 

Stay current with testing best practices, tools, and methodologies for web and mobile testing 

Advocate for high quality and a strong user-focused testing mindset

Understand user needs and workflows, and test from the user’s perspective

Collaborate with multiple teams across time zones to coordinate testing efforts 

Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and quality status to the broader team 

Minimum Qualifications 

Strong experience in manual QA testing, including black-box and exploratory testing 

Solid understanding of QA processes, test planning, and defect tracking 

Experience testing complex interactive applications on web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android) 

Ability to think critically and test complex workflows with strong user empathy

Experience creating and maintaining test plans for ongoing feature development

Familiarity with web and mobile accessibility testing, including tools such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA) 

Comfortable working in an Agile environment and contributing to team goals 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English 

Keen interest in new technologies and willingness to learn and grow beyond current expertise 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience using Figma 

Experience with Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines 

Experience with API testing 

Experience with performance testing 

Experience testing complex web or mobile UI frameworks 

Experience utilizing AI tools to improve daily work efficiency

Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright 

Ability to contribute to or maintain existing automation frameworks
